Everyone, this is Ashton! He's a pure delight of an oversized lap dog with the most expressive ears you've ever seen. He's such a good, sweet boy who absolutely adores human attention and despite his size, loves to snuggle up in his people's laps. You can see his intelligence at work as he raises those adorable ears to take in everything you're saying. Ashton is a terrific dog – loving, affectionate, smart, alert, loyal, and athletic – all-star qualities that guarantee he'll make a fantastic companion.
Ashton was rescued as an abandoned stray, all alone and looking for a human to love. He was ecstatic when we made contact, brimming with joy at receiving love and attention, clearly something he had longed for. We knew he'd make someone very happy. If you're looking for an intelligent, loyal, athletic companion who will soak up all the love you give and gleefully return it, Ashton is your boy! He loves to give kisses and be with people, making friends easily with his charming ways. If you're sitting, Ashton will surely ask to join you on your lap.
Ideal Home
Ashton would thrive in a home with daily physical and mental activity. An outdoorsy person who enjoys brisk daily walks or hikes would be a great fit for him. He's waiting to spread his happy love and can't wait to be snuggled up next to his person, being the best friend you could ever dream of. His affectionate personality is endearing. Ashton would do best in a home without other dogs, at least in the beginning, as he can be a bit excitable around them. No cats, please.
