Sweet Prince Boy is a charming gentleman, around 2 to 2.5 years old and weighing between 58-64 pounds. He was an owner surrender to a high-kill shelter, facing euthanasia due to space limitations and a heartworm-positive diagnosis. Fortunately, he was rescued and has undergone extensive medical treatment. His heartworm has been cleared, and he received surgery for entropion, resolving an eye issue that was previously neglected. Prince is now up-to-date on all his shots, crate-trained, and potty-trained. He was once noted for humping other dogs at the shelter, but this behavior has ceased since his neutering, and he now happily plays with other dogs of all sizes. He's treat and food motivated but not food aggressive, enjoys car rides, and loves his walks. Prince is a real gem who has overcome a lot and is ready for his forever home!
Ideal Home
Prince would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard where he can play and explore. He could be a wonderful companion for a family with children, a couple, or a single person who will include him in their daily adventures. While a canine companion is not a requirement, he does enjoy playing with other dogs. He is not suited for apartment living.
Ongoing Health
Prince is no longer heartworm positive and has had successful surgery to correct entropion in his eye. He is up-to-date on all his vaccinations.
Training & Support
Prince knows commands such as "sit," "come," and "heel" for leash walking, and he's gentle when taking treats. His energy level is medium.

Prince is currently in a foster home located in Fort Worth, TX. Transport can be arranged after the adoption is finalized, and the adoption contribution covers this cost. If you prefer to arrange your own transport, the adoption fee remains the same. The transport company is K9 Delivery LLC. Please check their transport route and nearest pickup location before committing to ensure you can make the drive to the designated pickup point.
