Meet Wesley! He's a one-year-old American Bully mix with the most soulful amber eyes and a heart that refuses to give up. This handsome, compact boy has a sturdy build, a velvety fawn coat, and an expressive face that will surely melt your heart. Though he might look tough on the outside, Wesley is pure sweetness underneath.

Wesley's journey has been a challenging one; he survived gunshot trauma that seriously injured both of his hind legs. Instead of giving up on him, his rescue team provided extensive orthopedic repair, including fracture repair and hip reconstruction, to save his legs. He's now healing beautifully and his spirit is already strong! Despite everything he's endured, Wesley is incredibly affectionate. He loves to roll over for belly rubs, lean into his people, and soak up all the attention he can get. He also enjoys spending time outdoors, lounging in the sun, and calmly observing the world around him. His temperament is gentle, trusting, and very people-focused.

Ideal Home

Wesley will need a committed adopter who understands the importance of controlled exercise and continued healing due to his recent surgeries.

Wesley has undergone extensive orthopedic surgery on both hind legs, including fracture repair and hip reconstruction. His prognosis is very good with proper care and follow-up.
