Julia Child is a quiet, gentle soul. She is a 46 lb Carolina Dog x Basenji mix with an estimated birthday of 11/8/22. Naturally reserved and a bit shy, Julia prefers observing the world at her own pace, taking comfort in calm spaces and kind voices. She may not be the first to rush up for attention, but once she trusts you, her soft eyes and sweet presence say everything. Julia Child was rescued from the county shelter, where she and her babies were scheduled to be euthanized due to overcrowding. Now they are safe, and Julia is ready to find her forever home!

Transporation
Julia is located in Houston, Texas. Transport is included in the adoption fee, with pickup locations potentially varying to nearby towns or states. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
