Prince

Prince is a magnificent 3-year-old Great Pyrenees, weighing in at an impressive 130 pounds of pure fluff! He's a classic Pyr who takes his role as neighborhood security very seriously, letting you know about everything from the Amazon driver to a passing squirrel. He's wonderful with his people, a silly and fun dog at heart, and respectful of strangers. Prince loves to play, but his athletic endeavors are in dramatic, thirty-second bursts followed by a full-body collapse. He's selectively deaf, hearing only what aligns with his priorities, and is independent, thoughtful, and comfortable making his own decisions. Prince sheds, barks at things he sees, and is truly a quintessential Great Pyrenees. He's housebroken, well-mannered in the home, and a joy for the right family.

Ideal Home

Prince needs adopters who genuinely understand and appreciate the Great Pyrenees breed and all of its quirks. He requires a securely fenced yard and is completely untrustworthy off-leash. Teen-aged kids and up would be best for this big guy.

Ongoing Health

No specific health conditions are noted, but as a Great Pyrenees, he does shed.

Training & Support

Prince is housebroken and well-mannered in the home. He is not an obedience champion and is independent, so patience and understanding of his breed traits will be key. If told he has been "BAD", he will sulk and take it personally.
