At 5.5 months old, Macie is a survivor! She and her littermates were found abandoned on a cold January night and were thankfully rescued and placed into loving foster homes. Macie is a bold, brilliant, and energetic puppy with a curious spirit and a love for adventure. She thrives on playtime, especially with other dogs, and is always eager to learn and explore. Heelers are known for being driven, athletic, and intelligent, and Macie embodies these traits. She needs a home that understands the breed's needs for structure, training, and consistent enrichment to prevent frustration and ensure she becomes a well-adjusted companion.
Ideal Home
Macie would do best in a home with experienced adopters who understand the heeler breed and are committed to providing her with plenty of activity, purpose, and consistent guidance. She needs an outlet for her energy and intelligence. Due to her high energy and herding instincts, she would thrive best in a home with older, dog-savvy children. While she enjoys playing with other dogs, finding the right match can be challenging, so she may also be considered as an only pet for out-of-state adopters.
Ongoing Health
All dogs in our care are cleared by a licensed veterinarian and arrive spayed/neutered with age-appropriate vaccinations and microchips.
Training & Support
Heelers require dedicated training and enrichment to channel their intelligence and drive. Without it, they can become nippy or be labeled as "too much." Adopters should be prepared to provide consistent structure and guidance to help Macie develop into a wonderful companion.

Transportation
Macie is currently located in South Mississippi. Local adopters are welcome to pick her up in Gulfport, MS. Transportation to New Orleans or Pensacola is available for an additional fee.
