Meet Ross this Sunday at our shelter! No appointment needed!

Ross is a cute 2-year-old Lab mix who found himself abandoned and scared at Pierson Park. Thankfully, our amazing dog trapper Nancy was able to safely rescue him and his buddies. Ross is a very sweet-natured guy, but he's a bit timid because he hasn't had much socialization. He's gentle and not aggressive at all, just easily scared. He'll need a patient person to help him learn to trust and feel safe.

Ideal Home

Ross absolutely LOVES other dogs! Having a canine companion is a game-changer for him, making him feel secure and eager to run and play. He needs to have another dog in his new home to be his buddy. If you have children or another dog, we ask that you bring them to the shelter to meet Ross to ensure a good match.

Ongoing Health

Ross has been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and tested for heartworms.

Training & Support

Ross is still learning to walk on a leash, which can be a bit scary for him. While we're working with him, he still gets carried sometimes. He'll need ongoing practice and patience with leash training.
