Personality: Gabbito is a gentle, sweet boy who may be shy at first, but warms up with a little patience—especially with women, who he tends to trust more quickly. He does great with other small dogs and loves having companionship. He enjoys running, eating (of course!), and being close to his people. He is potty trained and currently working on building confidence while walking on a leash, as loud noises can make him nervous.

About: Gabbito's past is a tough one. He was found with a person experiencing homelessness and was removed from that situation due to suspected abuse. During his veterinary exam, he was found to have small scars and what appeared to be old cigarette burns, which likely explains his fear—particularly of men. Despite everything he has been through, Gabbito has never shown any aggression. He is incredibly resilient and simply needs a loving, patient home where he can feel safe and continue to build trust.

Gabbito is currently waiting in Mexico for a committed family to say “yes” to him. With that commitment, he will travel north to begin a 10-day trial in your home to ensure it's the perfect fit for everyone. His adoption fee is $600.
