Sweet Boone is a 2-year-old, neutered Chihuahua/Dachshund mix weighing approximately 18 pounds. He has the kindest face and the softest, most soulful eyes, making it impossible not to root for him. Boone was rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation where he had very little human interaction. Despite his past, Boone remains incredibly gentle, sweet, and eager for the love he deserves. He's making steady progress in learning that the world can be a safe place and will thrive with a patient family who understands that trust is earned through kindness and consistency. Watching Boone gain confidence and come out of his shell is incredibly rewarding as he embraces new experiences and discovers the joys of being a dog.
Ideal Home
Boone would do best in a calm, patient, and quieter home where he can continue his socialization and build confidence at his own pace. A friendly, confident resident dog could be a great companion to help show him that people and new experiences aren't scary.

Boone is learning to walk on a leash and continues to gain confidence with gentle encouragement. He does well in his crate, where he feels safe and secure. Positive reinforcement, predictable routines, and compassionate guidance will help him continue to thrive.
