Lanky Little Lovebug
Charles is a lanky little Terrier mix who looks like a stretched-out stuffed animal with the emotional depth of a seasoned park ranger. Born on January 23rd, he's the tallest and clingiest of his litter, a dangerously lovable combination. While his siblings are off exploring and roughhousing, Charles prefers to be held like a baby, melting into your arms like warm butter on a dinner roll. He's content to stay with you for as long as you'll let him, just enjoying your closeness. Charles has a scruffy coat and long legs, giving him a unique, sketched-from-memory terrier look. He may be the son of Tuffy, another rescued dog from the same property, as they share a similar soft, affectionate personality and sweet face, along with an eagerness for immediate emotional codependency. While Tuffy is gray and white, Charles sports a toasted cinnamon Pop-Tart color. He's playful, social, deeply affectionate, and has a natural connection to people. Outside, he enjoys playing with other dogs and exploring, but inside, he settles beautifully and thrives on being near his people.
Ideal Home
We would especially love to see Charles go into a home with another playful pup, as he absolutely loves other dogs and gravitates towards companionship. He has been beautifully socialized with dogs of all sizes and exposed to children, approaching the world with soft, trusting sweetness. We recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved. His mother, Macie, is around 15 lbs, so we don't expect Charles to get very big.

Charles is currently being fostered in Texas and will be transported to his perfect forever home by our rescue. We have transports departing each week.
