Rocky is a two-year-old dog whose life began with more loneliness than any dog should endure. He was discovered in the scorching Texas heat, confined to a cage on an apartment balcony with a Chihuahua. Day after day, he faced the sun with no escape and little understanding of the world outside his confines. His only companion was the tiny Chihuahua, and together they spent long, silent days without the love every dog deserves. Rocky didn't choose this life, but despite his past, his heart remains incredibly full of love. Now safe at the sanctuary, Rocky is discovering what it means to truly live. He relishes being part of a pack, running freely, and soaking up all the attention he can get. He greets everyone with excitement, trust, and a hopeful heart. Yet, it's heartbreaking that Rocky has been in rescue for so long and continues to be overlooked. Applications come in daily, but never for him, and it's truly a mystery why. He is loving and ready for a home, deserving of all the love he can receive. He simply needs someone to see him. Through it all, Rocky still believes his person is out there – someone who will choose him and never leave him behind again. He's waited long enough!
