Meet Chanel, a brave 3 to 4-year-old terrier mix who, despite a difficult beginning where she was found abandoned and on a euthanasia list at a crowded shelter, has blossomed into a happy, energetic dog. She even donates blood to help other animals in need! Chanel is a true hero, and now she's ready for her next chapter: a loving forever home.
Ideal Home
Chanel is looking for a patient and understanding family, ideally with another canine companion who can help her rebuild her trust in humans. She enjoys toys and soft squeakers but can be easily startled by loud noises and is still learning how to play with them. It's important that her new home is a gentle environment where she can take things at her own pace and feel truly safe.
Ongoing Health
Chanel has no specific health conditions mentioned. She has received necessary vetting, including DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, and has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, and is on flea and heartworm prevention.
Training & Support
Chanel is still working through her past trauma and can be flinchy when hands reach towards her. She needs continued gentle guidance and positive reinforcement to build her confidence and learn to trust. With time and understanding, she will continue to grow into a wonderful companion.

Transporation
Chanel is currently located in Texas. Transportation is available to VA, PA, CT, VT, NY, UT, ID, OR, TX, WA, TN, KY, IN, IL, WI, MN & OH, LA. AZ is coming soon. Custom transport routes and destinations are available upon request. Texas adopters have a flat rate fee for transport within the state. Animals are transported in comfortable, air-conditioned buses or vans with onboard attendants. You can follow your pet's journey on a private Facebook event page. Our Adoption Coordinator will help you find the closest transport pickup location. For those picking up at our Angleton, TX location, there is a fee that includes all vetting.
