Bentley is a very special Shih Tzu boy, estimated to be around 3 years old. He's been through a lot in his life, and it took some time to help this unique boy find his way. He used to be grumpy and anti-social, but it turned out to be due to a medical reason. Bentley had a retinal detachment in his left eye, which caused him a lot of trouble. Our amazing vet team successfully removed his eye, and Bentley is adjusting wonderfully to being a sweet, handsome one-eyed dog. He loves to roam around the house like a king and adores his foster parents and siblings. While Bentley can be a little shy, anti-social, and grumpy at first, he is a very sweet companion who loves walks and car rides. He does well with other dogs and humans, as long as they give him space and don't overwhelm him. He needs an adopter with patience who is willing to give him the space he needs to adjust. Bentley would be a great companion for adults, but definitely not for young children who might not understand his need for personal space. He's quite particular about his doggy bed and prefers sleeping on chairs where he can hide while still having a good view of everything. Bentley can be a bit vocal, so he would do better in a house than an apartment. DOB 4/2022 - 14lbs
