Gordo is a squishy-faced, 69 lb. American Bully mix with a heart full of affection and a love for belly rubs. He's a gentle, thoughtful, and quietly charming boy who melts into affection when you use a soft voice and loving hands. His favorite love language is baby talk! Gordo is a relaxed, low-energy dog who enjoys a go-with-the-flow lifestyle, but he also has a playful side and loves a good game of tug-of-war. He's been introduced to many dogs and shows friendly confidence, preferring to observe rather than be the center of attention in playgroups. If another dog gets too pushy, Gordo handles it calmly by walking away or offering a gentle correction. He would do best with dogs his size or larger, ideally a calm and aloof female companion.
Ideal Home
Gordo would do best in a home with older children as he continues to learn his manners. He is not a good fit for homes with cats. He needs a steady, confident person who understands bully breeds and can channel his enthusiasm into good habits.
Ongoing Health
No specific health concerns are mentioned.
Training & Support
Gordo has basic leash skills but can be strong due to his size, requiring a confident handler. He responds well to positive reinforcement and is very food motivated, making him eager to learn. He is already working on crate training, potty training, and leash walking with his foster family.
