Trout

Meet Trout! This handsome fellow, estimated to be around 2 years old and weighing 54 lbs, was saved from a euthanasia list thanks to his foster mom. Trout is surprisingly chill for his athletic appearance. While he enjoys hikes and playtime, his favorite pastime is relaxing upside down on the couch. He can be a little shy initially with new people but warms up to become a loyal companion. He's kennel and potty trained, walks well on a leash, and knows how to sit. Trout gets along well with other dogs, but his interest in squirrels and cats means a home without feline roommates would be best.

Ideal Home

Trout's dream home will include him in life's adventures, whether it's camping trips, fishing weekends, or cozy evenings by the fire. He needs a home without cats.

Ongoing Health

Trout is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and will be ready for his new home in mid-to-late July.

Training & Support

Trout has a tiny quirk: he absolutely despises taking medicine and is very good at spitting it out, no matter how it's hidden!

Trout is being fostered in Houston, Texas, but is available for transport to many areas across the country. If you are seeing this post, he is available for transport to your area. His adoption fee is $600, which includes transport. He is fully vetted, neutered, and current on preventatives.
