July is an 8-year-old, spayed female Pitbull mix who weighs 59 pounds. She's a sweet, affectionate girl with a heart as big as her adorable smile, and she's happiest when she's curled up beside her favorite people. Whether she's resting her head on your chest while gazing up at you or soaking up endless back scratches, July is all about love and companionship. With a moderate energy level, July is the perfect mix of playful and relaxed. She enjoys a couple of walks each day, loves playing with toys, and gets the cutest zoomies you've ever seen! Once she's had a little fun, she's more than happy to settle in for cuddle time. July was rescued from euthanasia at a county shelter in Houston, Texas, and is currently in a foster home there. She has lived in both an apartment and a house setting and has done wonderfully.
Ideal Home
July would thrive in almost any home, whether it's an apartment or a house, as long as she has people to love and a cozy spot to snuggle. She has met other dogs and was incredibly friendly, so she'd likely enjoy a playful canine companion but is just as content being your one-and-only. While her gentle, loving nature suggests she'd do well in a family home, supervised play with very young children is recommended due to her size and enthusiasm during zoomies.

Training & Support
July is fully house-trained with no accidents and is comfortable spending time in her crate. She is generally non-destructive, though keeping shoes picked up is a good idea. She responds well to guidance and would benefit from a little continued leash training.

This is then followed by a video call with the foster home. Virtual home visits and personal and vet reference checks are required to complete the process.
Transporation
July is currently in Houston, Texas, and can be transported to an adopter once approved. Transport is included in the adoption donation.
