Lily is an 8-year-old, 79-pound female who is deaf and incredibly affectionate. She loves to be close to her person, cuddling and always seeking physical contact. Lily has a heart of gold and melts hearts with her sweet smile when she feels safe and happy. She was adopted from us five years ago and adored her dad. After he passed away, she returned to us, and despite a brief period of healing and finding what we believed to be her forever home, she is once again searching for a stable environment. Lily bonds deeply and forms incredibly strong connections with her people, following them everywhere and wanting to be a constant companion.
Ideal Home
Lily needs to be the only pet in the home. A quieter environment would be ideal, perhaps with a retiree, someone who works from home, or anyone willing to make a dedicated commitment to a loyal companion and help Lily feel secure.
Ongoing Health
Lily is deaf. She also experiences separation anxiety, which can manifest as barking when she feels worried, stressed, or uncertain. She is not destructive. Through our Forever Foster Program, all approved medical expenses beyond routine wellness care for Lily will be covered by Road to Home Rescue for the rest of her life.
Training & Support
Lily's separation anxiety can be managed with commitment, consistency, structure, and support. A fantastic trainer, Jeff, who we trust completely, has assessed Lily and believes her anxiety is fixable. Jeff has generously offered to work directly with Lily's future adopter, providing guidance, support, and tools to help manage her anxiety and build her confidence. Road to Home Rescue will cover the cost of this training support to ensure both Lily and her adopter are set up for success.
