Meet Ollie!
Oliver, affectionately called Ollie, is a spirited six-and-a-half-year-old Siberian Husky/Shepherd mix with a striking black coat and white accents. Weighing about 65 pounds, Ollie is the epitome of loyalty, intelligence, and independence. He's a smart cookie who knows an impressive array of cues like sit, lay down, stay, spin, paw, go home, go to crate, and even roll over! He's a happy boy who comes when called and walks beautifully on a leash. Ollie is highly motivated by treats, especially peanut butter, and thrives on positive reinforcement and clear communication. He's adaptable to his family's rhythm, happy to join for a long hike, a leisurely stroll, or a quiet afternoon nap. Ollie loves splashing in water, chasing sticks, and exploring the outdoors with his curious nature. He's also a sensitive soul who tunes into the emotions of his people, ready to join the fun or enjoy his own space.
Ideal Home
Ollie would thrive in a loving home without children and as the only dog, preferably with plenty of space to roam and explore. He requires a calm, structured environment and benefits from caregivers who can recognize his body language and respect his boundaries. He can become overstimulated around large groups, is protective of food and high-value items, and has a history of biting in certain situations. Because of this, he needs an experienced pet parent who understands behavior support, is comfortable managing resource guarding, and can continue setting him up for success.
Ongoing Health
Ollie receives daily medication to help manage anxiety.
