Gumball

Hi, I'm Gumball, an 8-year-old Coonhound who has spent the last two years in the shelter system. I don't know what I've been through before that, but I do know that I need a very specific kind of home to feel safe and comfortable. I am adult-only, and I thrive in a calm, predictable environment with people who understand dog boundaries - especially those of senior and long-term shelter dogs. Sometimes strange men can make me uneasy, so patience and gentle handling are especially important for me.

I'm getting older, and with age come a few changes. My eyesight may be fading, and my hearing isn't what it used to be. I'm currently in a structured foster home working closely with a trainer, and I am truly thriving with routine, consistency, and clear expectations. Structure helps me feel secure, confident, and settled in my daily life.

I enjoy the company of other dogs but I am not cat friendly. I'm neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

Ideal Home

I need an adult-only home that is calm and predictable. Patience and gentle handling are very important, especially with men. I am not cat friendly.

Ongoing Health

My eyesight and hearing may be fading due to age.

Training & Support

I am currently working with a trainer in my foster home and thriving with routine, consistency, and clear expectations.
