Jewel is a 4-year-old sweetheart who has been through so much, yet her gentle spirit has never dimmed. She arrived at the shelter underweight while caring for her nine puppies—now that they’re all adopted, it’s finally her turn to shine and find the loving home she’s been waiting for. Jewel is a lower-energy girl who adores affection. She loves belly rubs, body scratches, cuddles, and being close to her person, though she also appreciates having her own quiet space. She’s incredibly smart and very food-motivated, taking treats with the softest mouth and showing off the many tricks she’s learned with pride. At heart, she’s a total couch potato who also enjoys playful moments—she’ll happily fetch a toy or ball and bring it right back to you every time. This girl has a fun, goofy side too: she doesn’t mind wearing outfits and even gets excited to put them on! When she’s feeling anxious, a calm pet and gentle reassurance help her relax right away. She truly is the sweetest companion and wants nothing more than to be someone’s best friend.

Ideal Home

Jewel will need to be the only pet in the home—no other dogs or cats—so she can soak up all the love and attention she deserves.

Jewel was underweight upon arrival but is now healthy and ready for her forever home. She is spayed.

Jewel is very food-motivated and has learned many tricks. Gentle reassurance helps her when she is feeling anxious.
