Scottie

Scottie is one cutie patootie! He's an energetic, curious guy who loves to explore the world around him. Scottie is a medium-sized mixed breed dog, approximately 2 years young and currently weighs 30 pounds. It seems he doesn't have much training experience, so he'll benefit from reward-based training as he learns about basic manners and leash walking. As he settles in and bonds with his new family, we won't be surprised if he starts to show more of his true personality and blossom.

Ongoing Health

It was discovered during his initial medical exam that Scottie is positive for heartworm and is currently undergoing treatment. Should he be adopted before his treatment is complete, Gigi's will continue to cover the cost of his heartworm treatment provided he returns to Gigi's for the two required visits and injections. Dogs undergoing treatment can lead normal lives with some exercise restrictions. Once recovered, dogs go on to live normal, long lives, so don't let heartworm deter you from meeting this wonderful dog. Scottie has received his full-service vet care, vaccines, and is neutered.

Training & Support

Scottie will benefit from reward-based training as he learns about basic manners and leash walking. Gigi's offers Training and Puppy Classes, as well as Private Behavior sessions and Veterinary Behavioral options to help get families and their new furry family members off on the right paw.
