Sully is a sweet and gentle Labrador Mix, approximately 3-4 years old and around 50 lbs. He has a congenital hip condition that prevents him from remaining standing for long periods, making a calm, low-activity lifestyle ideal. Despite his condition, Sully absolutely loves car rides, behaving wonderfully and enjoying the scenery. He's a very social and friendly boy who trusts easily and enjoys being around people and other dogs, though he's not a fan of constant physical contact. Sully is an easygoing companion with a beautiful smile that makes him seem like the happiest dog in the world. He's incredibly easy to love and will reciprocate that love deeply, needing a peaceful home where he can rest comfortably and receive lots of affection without the need for extensive exercise.
Ideal Home
Sully needs a peaceful home where he can rest comfortably and live without the need for much exercise.
Ongoing Health
Sully has a congenital hip condition. After evaluation by a specialist, surgery is not an option.
Training & Support
Sully is not house-trained, and adopters should be prepared for this. He requires high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies and is described as needing a family with experience in dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer. Adopters should also understand that rescued dogs may need an adjustment period due to past trauma and require patience and understanding to build trust.
