Rusty is a soft, calm, and cuddly little boy with a heart full of love. At just around two months old, he already shows a naturally gentle and easygoing personality that makes him such a comforting presence to be around. Rusty enjoys the simple things in life—warm cuddles, gentle attention, and being close to his people. He is happiest when he can snuggle in, relax, and feel safe and loved. His calm nature makes him especially sweet and endearing, and he has a way of making everyone around him feel at ease. While he does enjoy playing, Rusty tends to lean more toward the calm and cozy side of puppy life. He’s not overly wild or energetic, which makes his affectionate and mellow personality stand out even more. Rusty is the kind of puppy who will grow into a loyal, loving companion who enjoys quiet moments just as much as time spent together. Ongoing Health
Rusty is up to date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injection. He has also been tested for heartworms and received treatment if needed. Rusty is microchipped with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Rusty is a puppy and will benefit from continued training and socialization to help him grow into a well-rounded companion. Our team assesses every animal with trainers on staff, modifies behavior as needed, and creates individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families. This includes crate training, potty training, and leash walking.

Transportation
Rusty is located in the Greater Houston area. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system. Our transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
