Do you need a little excitement in your life? Maybe a hype man, adventure buddy, comic relief, or a toy de-fluffer extraordinaire? Introducing Nico! Nico is eleven months old and still has all that puppy energy packed into his 29-pound body. He is energetic, smart, and always on the move, so you better be prepared to keep up!
Nico was recently returned because he simply could not be contained. When left to his own devices, he went a little stir-crazy, and some furniture paid the price. His previous adopters attempted crate training, but he was too vocal for the apartment neighbors. Nico loves to be involved in the action and wants to be where the people are. When left alone for too long (and uncrated), Nico can get worried, anxious, and bored. A bored, smart, energetic puppy can be trouble! He will need a family ready to work hard with him to make crate training and being left alone a fun and successful endeavor. We have resources to help set Nico up for success, which takes patience, consistency, and maybe a set of earplugs.
Nico can be a handful, but that’s part of what makes him so fun. He is an incredibly curious, personable, engaging, and friendly pup. He loves to play with toys, especially stuffed ones he can de-stuff. Tug-of-war is probably his favorite game, and he’s a hoot when he gets going! Nico thinks strangers are just friends he hasn’t met yet and happily accepts pets. When he sees other dogs, his tail starts wagging, and he was bouncy and playful during his dog-to-dog intro. He walks great on the leash without too much pulling, and he happily sniffs all the things. He’s so soft and fluffy, has the cutest curly tail, and huge ears that stick straight up, always looking full of joy.
Ideal Home
Nico needs a home that can keep up with his high energy and provide consistent training and enrichment. He thrives on being involved and can become anxious and destructive when left alone for extended periods.
Ongoing Health
Nico is a healthy young pup.
