Nala is an 8-year-old, spayed female Shepherd/Retriever mix who weighs about 52 pounds. She was found as a stray in Houston, Texas, and thankfully, a kind person rescued her and brought her into our care. Nala is one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet, and her tail has been wagging ever since she was rescued! She's a calm, easygoing girl with a peaceful presence that makes her a joy to have around. Nala has a wonderful balance of being relaxed and fun, enjoying playful moments while still having a naturally calm demeanor.
Ideal Home
Nala would do best in a home that appreciates her calm, loving nature. She would thrive in a home with children of various ages, especially with respectful interactions. She also gets along wonderfully with other dogs, particularly larger breeds (50-60 lbs), and has a gentle, submissive play style. While she would enjoy having a canine companion, she would also do well as a solo dog soaking up all the love.

Nala has no known ongoing health conditions.
Training & Support
Nala is fully house-trained and crate-trained and rests comfortably in her crate for several hours during the day and overnight. She walks nicely on leash with a calm pace, though she may occasionally need a little encouragement to keep moving. Nala has good manners when eating and may prefer some space around unfamiliar dogs, but she has shown no issues with people near her food or any toy guarding behaviors.
