Sarah

Sarah is a sweet senior dog who came to us from an LA shelter where she was scheduled to be euthanized the day we pulled her. She has had a lifetime of untreated ear infections that resulted in two surgeries, with one ear being removed completely. She is now deaf. Despite that, she is an affectionate, sweet, and happy girl. She has had a couple of seizures in the past three months, and since we are not familiar with her background, we do not know if this is a chronic condition. We are monitoring her, though.

Ideal Home

Sarah would do well in a home that can provide her with love and care. Given her hearing impairment, a patient and understanding environment would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Sarah has undergone two ear surgeries, resulting in the removal of one ear, and she is now deaf. She has also experienced a few seizures in the past three months. Her medical history prior to her seizures is unknown, and we are currently monitoring her condition.

Training & Support

Sarah is described as affectionate, sweet, and happy, but as she is deaf, a gentle approach to communication and training is recommended.
