Blondie

Blondie is a 3-year-old, 54-pound Shepherd/Lab mix with a soft heart and a gentle spirit. When she first arrived at the shelter, she was quite timid, but she's been quietly learning that the world can be kind. These days, Blondie is starting to show her true personality. She lights up when she's with other dogs and truly takes comfort in canine companionship. A confident dog friend would be a huge gift for her—someone to show her the ropes and help her continue building confidence. She's making great progress with volunteers and opening up more every day. Her leash skills are also improving as she learns that walks can be fun and not overwhelming. With time, consistency, and a calm canine buddy, she's going to make someone an incredibly rewarding companion.

Ongoing Health

All vetting (spay, vaccinations, heartworm testing, preventatives while in our care, deworming and microchip) is covered by the adoption fee.

Training & Support

Blondie's leash skills are improving, and she's opening up more with volunteers. She'll benefit from continued patience and consistency.

• We do not adopt on a first-come, first-serve basis, but rather by the best match between dog and family.
• The adoption fee for adult dogs is $500, which covers the costs of vetting and any boarding or transport fees incurred.

Blondie is currently at Lighthouse Animal Shelter and transport may be available.
