Roscoe P Coltrane

Roscoe is a strikingly handsome and dapper hound with distinctive markings, including bright "pumpkin seeds" above his sparkling eyes and adorable freckles. He's an athletic hound who loves to explore the outdoors and enjoys playing with his siblings and foster companions. While he tries to be brave, Roscoe approaches new situations with caution. He's a sweet and often goofy boy with a precious, tender heart and a gentle soul. He is good with other dogs of all ages and sizes and has been introduced to cats from a distance. He especially loves puppies!

Ideal Home

Roscoe will require a very patient adopter or foster home experienced with fearful dogs. He absolutely requires a fenced yard, perhaps with another dog that loves to be outside. A family that will give him the time and space to adjust is essential.

Ongoing Health

Roscoe is up to date on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. He is also heartworm negative.

Training & Support

Roscoe is crate trained. He can be a bit stubborn on a leash, but work is being done to improve this. He will be challenging, but with time and patience, he will become an amazing, special boy. Dirt Road Doggie's Rescue will provide full support throughout his transition.
