Pepe is an adorable medium-sized Scottish Aberdeen Terrier mix who arrived at Jelly's Place in March 2020 with his sister. He's an extremely nervous and timid boy around new people. Pepe absolutely LOVES other dogs and has formed a very special bond with Chee Yoo, another dog at Jelly's Place. They are like two peas in a pod, and we think they would do best if adopted together! Pepe has made incredible progress since arriving; he's gone from hiding in his dog house to happily going on daily walks. He's becoming more comfortable and confident, but still has a ways to go. He has learned to trust his primary caregiver but is still working on being comfortable with others.
Ideal Home
Pepe would do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced dog owners. He needs a home that understands his shy nature and is willing to give him the time and space he needs to feel comfortable, confident, and loved. Pepe is not a dog for first-time adopters. He needs a home with an experienced adopter and another dog. Homes with older children or no children are preferred.
Ongoing Health
Pepe is up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Pepe has learned to trust his primary caregiver and is comfortable going on leash walks. He is still not comfortable interacting with other people. We recommend spending time with Pepe on several occasions so he can become comfortable with you before adoption. Another dog in the home is essential for his continued success.
