Machika is a sweet Akita mix, about 2-3 years old and weighing 53 lbs. She’s calm, loving, and truly enjoys the simple joys of life—walks on a leash, relaxing car rides as the perfect co-pilot, and running freely in the garden with her doggy friends. She can be a little selective with other dogs and does best in a cat-free home, but she’s always eager to share her gentle nature with people. Machika’s past was not easy—she spent much of her life on the streets, facing cold nights and even abuse. Thanks to kind neighbors, she began receiving food and care, and eventually, she was rescued. Despite everything she endured, Machika blossomed into a trusting, affectionate dog who longs for human companionship. She was once abandoned, but what Machika truly deserves is much more: a real home, filled with love and security, where she’ll never again feel loneliness or fear. Machika is ready to be the loyal, loving companion you’ve been searching for.
Ideal Home
Machika would thrive in a home with a tall, fenced backyard. She needs an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has the experience or willingness to hire a trainer for an intelligent dog like her. She does best in a cat-free home.
Ongoing Health
Machika has received a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. She has also had a 4DX test and certificate, a negative heartworm test certificate, and is on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive protection for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. She also has a health certificate and vaccination booklet. Please note that rescue dogs may require an adjustment period due to past trauma, and patience is crucial. They may not be house-trained.
Training & Support
Machika is not house-trained. Potential adopters should have high tolerance and patience for rescued animals and be willing to work with her behavioral needs.

Transportation
Machika is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico. She is available for transport to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. A transport fee of $400 USD covers door-to-door delivery. This includes scheduled trips, a contracted transport company, all necessary legal and health documentation, and real-time updates during the journey.
