Jersey

Jersey is an eight-year-old sweetheart who came to us when her family experienced some significant life changes and could no longer care for her. Her family was heartbroken to say goodbye, but they trusted us to ensure Jersey's next eight years were just as filled with love as her first. Jersey is, quite simply, a darn good dog! She's overflowing with love and is just looking for a secure place to call her own.

Her whole world has been turned upside down, and she's understandably stressed. She doesn't quite grasp what's happening and doesn't feel safe. The hardest part of situations like this is knowing we can't tell these dogs that everything will be okay, that we'll find them a forever home, and that they can trust us. Jersey doesn't understand this yet, but she will.

Ideal Home

Jersey needs a peaceful, quiet home where she can decompress. While she gets along well with other dogs and cats, she needs humans who understand and will accommodate her wariness of sharing food and treats with other animals by feeding her separately. This should be a very manageable adjustment. She would thrive in a steady, calm environment and would prefer to avoid the hustle and bustle of small children, as she finds them overwhelming.

Jersey is a healthy eight-year-old girl.

Training & Support

Jersey is still adjusting to her new reality. She needs patience and understanding as she settles into a stable environment.

Transportation

Jersey is currently in boarding, which is quite overwhelming for her, as she cries in her kennel all day. We are actively seeking a foster or adoptive home for her. We are unable to respond to inquiries on Adopt-A-Pet.
