Taki is a four-year-old Retriever mix who is a cool, calm, and nonchalant gentleman. He arrived as a stray and has since perfected the art of being a distinguished dude. Taki walks great on leash, knows how to sit, and enjoys leisurely strolls outdoors, though he's just as content napping and dreaming of his future home. He is good with other dogs but prefers canine companions who respect his independent nature and give him space. He also has a penchant for bowties, which perfectly suits his gentlemanly personality. Taki has been with us for a while and is now our longest resident, eagerly waiting for his forever family.
Ideal Home
Taki would do best with a canine companion who respects his independent nature and is happy to give him space to relax. He is a tall boy and can jump a fence easily if left unattended in a yard. We adopt to families with children. Due to import regulations, we are not able to adopt to MA or RI residents at this time.
Ongoing Health
Taki is heartworm positive, but with proper treatment, he can live a happy and healthy life. His adoption fee includes his heartworm treatment.
Training & Support
Taki already knows how to sit and walks well on a leash.

Transporation
Taki's $250 adoption fee includes his transport fee to a location near you. We currently have transportation to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN. Transports are arranged for specific dates, typically within 1-3 weeks of approving your application. Adopters will meet at a designated meeting spot to pick up their new companions.
