This sweet 1-year-old, 8-pound male Chihuahua is as cute as a button and ready to bring quiet devotion to his forever family. Buttons is a uniquely calm and quiet boy who doesn't bark much. He's a gentle spirit who truly blossoms in peaceful environments. He's currently in Oklahoma at our rescue and is looking for a loving home.
Ideal Home
Buttons is dreaming of a quiet, low-key home where he can relax and be his true self. He can get nervous with loud noises and high energy, so a calm household is essential. He does well with other small dogs who have a similar gentle demeanor.
Ongoing Health
Buttons has been fully vetted, including being neutered and up-to-date on all essential vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella). He has been dewormed and is on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He will be microchipped and receive a fecal exam and health certificate within 10 days of transport.
Training & Support
Buttons is crate trained and settles down nicely at night. He rides quietly and safely when crated in the car. He is still working on housebreaking and will need a patient adopter to help him establish a routine, though he does go potty immediately when taken outside. A "tiny postscript" from Buttons is that he sometimes has "happy puddles" or "stage fright sprinkles" when nervous or excited. His rescue friends are hopeful this will decrease as he settles into a secure routine, especially now that he is neutered.
