Oscar

Oscar is a sweet and joyful 1-year-old Labrador mix, weighing around 32 lbs. He has a big heart and instantly builds trust with everyone he meets, including children, men, and women. Oscar loves being around people and enjoys playtime with other dogs, his friendly personality makes him incredibly easy to fall in love with.

Ideal Home

Oscar would thrive in an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a fenced backyard. He needs a family with the intention to truly rescue a dog, understanding their need for protection and education. Experience in dog behavior and training is preferred, or a willingness to hire a trainer. High tolerance and patience for rescued puppies are a must.

Ongoing Health

Oscar has a small neurological tic due to distemper, which is noticeable when he is resting. This condition does not affect his happy life or his loving nature. He has completed a comprehensive health protocol including spay/neuter, vaccinations (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), deworming, microchipping, a 4DX test, a negative heartworm test, and monthly preventive protection (Nexgard Spectra).

Training & Support

Oscar is not house-trained. Rescued pets often require an adjustment period, and patience and understanding are crucial. Providing a safe and loving environment, establishing a routine, and setting clear boundaries will help him feel secure and build trust.

• You will be asked to fill out an adoption form and provide photos/videos of your home.
• If your application is a potential match, we will contact you for a virtual meeting and home tour.
• 1-2 references will be contacted.
• Upon approval, you will sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.

Transporation

Oscar is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast. Transportation is available door-to-door for a fee of $400 USD. Our transport process involves scheduled trips with a contracted company that ensures a safe and comfortable journey, including all necessary paperwork and real-time updates.
