Meet Corvinus! This sweet boy has had a rough start but is now ready to find his forever home filled with comfort and love. He was initially hesitant on leash at the shelter, likely due to discomfort from his eyes. Once free to explore the yard, his friendly nature and love for attention quickly became apparent. After joining rescue, Corvinus underwent entropion surgery to correct his eyelids, which were causing him pain. During the procedure, a micro-rupture was discovered in his other eye. Unfortunately, this condition was not repairable and his eye was removed to alleviate his discomfort. He's recovering wonderfully and is already showing signs of the happy, pain-free dog he was meant to be.
Corvinus took some time to warm up in his foster home, but once he felt safe and trusted his humans, his big, loving personality truly blossomed. He's a calm and well-behaved boy who responds well to gentle guidance. His favorite pastimes include snuggling under blankets, playing with toys, and his most cherished hobby: sock theft! He enjoys the company of other animals and has gotten along well with small dogs he's met outside the home. He's making great progress learning to walk nicely on leash and is comfortable in his crate. He absolutely adores meal times, belly rubs, cuddles, and treats, and he's not shy about asking for more!
Ideal Home
Corvinus is looking for patient and loving people to call his own. He would thrive in various home environments, whether calm or active, as long as he has the companionship of kind humans. Ideally, he would have a friendly dog buddy to keep him company, as he enjoys playing with both mellow and energetic dogs. He hasn't met cats yet but might do well with them, and we can arrange a meet-and-greet if you're interested. He's also expected to do well with children, as he has a gentle nature.
Ongoing Health
Corvinus has undergone entropion surgery for his eyelids and has had one eye removed due to a non-repairable micro-rupture. He is now recovering well and is much more comfortable.
Training & Support
Corvinus is responding well to verbal redirection and is learning to walk nicely on leash. He is crate-trained and has shown he can be well-behaved with gentle guidance.
