Meet Vanna! This approximately 4-year-old German Shepherd mix is a true "velcro dog" with a big heart and an even bigger personality. She's playful, affectionate, and absolutely adores being close to her people. Once she bonds with you, she's happiest right by your side, whether you're chilling at home or out exploring. Vanna has medium energy and would thrive in an active home. She enjoys playing fetch and going for walks, and she's a great car companion for all your adventures. At home, she's trusted to roam freely and is not destructive – she just wants to be near her favorite humans.
Ideal Home
Vanna would thrive in an active home environment. She is best suited as the only dog in the home. While she can be playful with very well-matched, larger dogs (around 90 lbs or more) without resource guarding issues, she is not a fan of smaller dogs. She may do well with older children (12+) who can respect her space and boundaries.
Ongoing Health
Vanna is spayed and vaccinated. Like many dogs who’ve been through a lot, Vanna is still working through some challenges. She has experienced significant trauma and is actively working on negative behaviors around other dogs. She has some resource guarding issues with food, toys, and people.
Training & Support
Vanna needs continued support with leash manners and is still polishing up her potty training, with occasional accidents. She is crate trained. With patience, consistency, and understanding, she has so much potential to continue growing. She can sometimes be reactive on leash depending on how other dogs behave toward her, so continued leash work and training will be important.
