Maple is a sweet, shy girl who has come such a long way in foster care. She's learning the ropes of being a family dog and is ready for a patient, loving home to call her own. This gentle girl has made incredible progress and just needs someone willing to go slow, offer reassurance, and celebrate her wins. With love and patience, Maple will blossom into the most loyal companion.

Ideal Home

Maple is great with kids and other dogs, and gets along with cats. However, she should not be around chickens, as she will chase and try to eat them. A secure yard and watchful eye are important, as Maple can get nervous with loud noises or quick movements, and sometimes pees when she's scared. If startled, she may bolt, usually to hunker down under furniture.

Maple is doing well with her house training and has been accident-free in her crate for weeks. She sleeps through the night in her crate like a champ. She needs someone willing to go slow, offer reassurance, and celebrate her wins.
