Meet Yamtastic, a 9-month-old Shiba Inu mix with a heart full of joy and a nose for adventure! Yam was rescued as part of a group of five pups from an overcrowded home and is now experiencing all the wonders of the world for the first time. From the feel of grass beneath his paws to the thrill of a toy-filled room, Yam embraces every new experience with enthusiasm. He's a professional toy box emptier, a certified good boy, and loves racing around like his tail is on turbo! Yam also enjoys hoarding bones like tiny treasures and considers lick mats and pupsicles to be elite snacks. He's house-trained and can crate well for short periods, making him a great companion for those who work from home or are retired.
Ideal Home
Yam would thrive in a home where his people are around most of the time. He needs a cat-free environment, as he can become overstimulated by feline movement. A home with another confident canine friend is a must, as this will help Yam continue to learn that life is fun and safe.
Ongoing Health
Yam is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all his vaccines, and is on monthly heartworm and flea preventatives.
Training & Support
Yam is already a clever pup, knowing commands like "sit," "down," "wait," "paw," "spin," and "leave it." While shy at first and preferring slow introductions, once his trust is earned, he transforms into a cuddly, affectionate goofball. Patience and snacks are the keys to unlocking his sweet personality!
