Hello there! My name is Bean, and I'm a sweet, handsome puppy with a face that's just too cute for words, complete with expressive eyes and eyebrows, and big, clumsy paws. I'm a little silly and quirky, and I love to ham it up and be the center of attention. I enjoy collecting my toys in my bed and strutting around proudly with them. I always want to be near my humans and check in frequently. I love being part of the action so much that I've been known to fall asleep sitting up! I came up from Texas with my brother, who is in a different foster home.
Ideal Home
I'm mostly potty trained, but sometimes I get so excited playing that I forget to ask to go outside and have an accident. I sleep soundly in my kennel all night, but I might protest a little if put in my kennel during the day, though I do settle down after a few minutes. I love bedtime and sleep in my kennel in my foster parents' room at night. I'd do well with a family who can give me lots of attention and love, either at home or when out and about. I like being busy in the house and yard, followed by naps near my human. Ideally, I'd love a best friend to spend most of the day with. While I'm not currently living with other dogs, I have a lot of play energy, and I think another dog would be a great way for me to get that energy out. I do play with pre-teen neighbors regularly and warm up quickly to new friends, though I always check in with my foster parents. I live with three cats and, while I sometimes try to play with them like puppies, I back off when reminded they are cats. For the most part, I don't pay the cats much attention and don't have any prey drive issues.

Training & Support
I know "sit" and love to show off this trick! I'm learning to walk on a leash, though sometimes my stubborn Mastiff side shows, and I'd rather play inside or in the yard. I'm also learning "leave it" and the difference between toys and non-toys. I'm attentive and smart, and would do well in a training or obedience course in a few months when I'm a bit older and more confident with new sights and smells. I loooove treats and food, but I also really love attention from my humans, and it doesn't take much to get me to focus. I am teething and enjoy chewing on toys, especially stuffies, bones, and harder plastic toys. I also enjoy a good game of tug-of-war.
