Nueces

Nueces is a 32 lb bundle of love and devotion! This soulful pup is incredibly expressive and will always have his eyes on you, showing just how much he loves, trusts, and needs his human family. He's happy to stay close by, not a huge cuddler, but definitely enjoys belly rubs when the mood strikes. Nueces is a smart cookie who learns quickly, though sometimes his instincts take over. He's a natural protector of his pack, both human and canine, and will bark at unfamiliar visitors, but he stops immediately once introductions are made.

Ideal Home

Nueces thrives in a home where he can stay close to his people. He's great with other dogs and loves being part of a pack.

Nueces is a healthy pup with no known health concerns.

Training & Support

Nueces is learning not to jump for his food and responds well to a gentle but firm voice. He is food motivated and trains well with treats. He knows "sit" and "gentle" in both English and Spanish. While he's still learning the leash, he responds to a whistle. Nueces doesn't yet play with toys but enjoys gentle play with other dogs. He hasn't shown any destructive chewing behavior, focusing instead on finding tasty treats.
