Tanuki

Meet Tanuki, a charming 12-14 year old, 69 lb bundle of love! Tanuki's journey began with a misunderstanding; he was surrendered due to immobility, but it turned out to be treatable lumbar spondylosis, arthritis, and heartworm disease. We were thrilled to bring him into rescue, successfully treated his heartworms, and started him on pain management. Now, Tanuki is embracing a new lease on life, feeling happy, comfortable, and ready to shower his new family with affection. He's a wonderfully polite gentleman with other dogs and we suspect he'd be just as sweet with cats. What truly makes Tanuki's tail wag are splashing in a pool and a good game of fetch!

Ideal Home

Tanuki would thrive in a home where he can enjoy his golden years. He is good with kids and dogs.

Ongoing Health

Tanuki has been treated for heartworm disease. He also has lumbar spondylosis and arthritis, for which he is receiving pain management.

Training & Support

Tanuki is house-trained and knows basic commands. He's a gentle soul who loves affection and playtime.

Transporation
