Bean is a sweet, medium-energy girl with a playful side and a sharp mind. She's a quick learner who already knows cues like "sit," "down," "wait," and "leave it," and she has great recall. Bean is housetrained, rides well in the car, and gets along with both dogs and cats. She can be shy at first and needs a little time to adjust to new people and environments, but once she feels comfortable, her fun and affectionate personality shines through. Bean enjoys staying active and engaged, and she'll thrive with continued structure and positive reinforcement. Bean is a very loving and playful dog. She loves to cuddle, play games and go on long walks and hikes. She is comfortable off leash on a trail staying close by and will come sit when called as bikes or runners go by. She has grown up around cats, and wants to play with them, but still needs training not chase. She is well behaved with kids. Bean can be anxious in new or noisy environments but has grown more relaxed over time. She loves mental stimulation, routine and regular activity - and she has a heart built to play and love.
Ideal Home
Bean would do best with dog-savvy children ages 13+ who understand how to give her space while she builds confidence. She would do well in a place with a yard.
Ongoing Health
Bean is a healthy girl with no known ongoing health concerns.
Training & Support
Bean is a quick learner and is motivated to learn and enjoys training. Training classes will be required to help her keep building leash skills, as she can pull when excited. She still needs training to not chase cats, and to behave well when visitors come to the door, when she hears noises and not to jump up when she is excited to see a friend. With patience, consistency, and love, Bean will make a loyal and rewarding companion.
