My name is Cookie, and I'm an adorable Husky and Pitbull mix! I'm a big, playful puppy with a heart of gold, and I truly believe I'm a gentle giant who loves to cuddle and snuggle most of all. While I have bursts of husky puppy energy, I'm a surprisingly good listener and a very smart learner. I've already mastered "sit" and I'm doing wonderfully with potty training, though I'm still perfecting the signal for needing to go outside. I used to be unhappy when kenneled, but I've made great progress and now I settle down quietly and wait for my people to return. I currently live with two dogs and a cat in my foster home. I was initially timid around the other dogs but have grown to love playing chase and wrestle with them. I'm still learning to play gently all the time, but I respond well to reminders. My foster parents say I find the cat "super interesting" and sometimes get too excited to chase him, but I listen when told not to and find something else to do. I only want to play and not cause harm, but I understand that cats play differently. If I were to live with cats, I would do best with those who are "dog savvy." I haven't met children yet, but my foster parents believe I'd be best with older children who are comfortable around big dogs, as my size and energy might be a bit much for younger ones. I am a huge snuggler and love to be as close as possible to my people, sometimes forgetting about personal space! I love giving hugs and snuggles and dream of sleeping with my family in my forever home. My foster parents also want you to know that while I might not look it, I'm still a growing puppy and will likely be an extra-large dog with a good amount of energy, so I'll need a house, not an apartment. I can't wait to find my forever family and have lots of fun together!
Ideal Home
I will need to live in a house, as I would not make a good apartment dog. I would do best with older children who are comfortable around big dogs. I would also do best with dog-savvy cats.
