Krockett

Krockett is a happy, smiling, and incredibly loyal 1-year-old Labrador mix who weighs around 55 lbs. He was rescued in March 2024 and is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. Krockett is intelligent, polite, and always ready for fun! He's playful, joyful, and very active, dreaming of a family who loves the outdoors as much as he does. He's already crate and leash trained and enjoys car rides.

Ideal Home

Krockett would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard, with an active family that enjoys outdoor adventures. He also needs a family with experience in dog behavior and training, and who understands the needs of rescued animals. Patience and high tolerance are key, as he is not yet house-trained.

Ongoing Health

Krockett has received a spay/neuter, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, and a negative heartworm test. He also comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.

Training & Support

While Krockett is crate and leash trained, he is not yet house-trained. His foster family works hard to rehabilitate rescued animals, but it's impossible to house-train each one due to the sheer number of pets needing care. He will benefit from continued patience, guidance, and consistent training from his new family.

• A trial adoption period will follow, with clear instructions for integration into your home.

Transportation

Krockett is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. He is available for transport to the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest. A transport fee of $250.00, paid by the adopter prior to departure, covers this service.
