Dragon Prince

Dragon Prince was in a high-intake shelter in Texas when the area was ravaged by flood waters. Dogs already in shelters had to be moved out to accommodate those animals who were displaced by the floods but had families waiting for them. Dragon was grouped with a bunch of little Chihuahuas who had been living in a hoarder house, but we think he is more likely a Miniature Pinscher Mix. He is as sweet as he can be, but he is still quite shy from having been so neglected. Kind words and loving arms were not a part of Dragon’s past and he does not quite know how to feel about them. He does pay attention to the people who care for him, and when he recognizes a particular caregiver he is more apt to accept some affection. He likes his cookies, so tasty treats are working to coax him into approaching a human. Dragon likes the company of other dogs. We think a canine sibling will be the key to helping him open up and become a more confident little fellow in his new home.

Ideal Home

A home that understands that Dragon Prince is shy due to past neglect. He thrives with the company of other dogs and would benefit from a canine sibling to help him gain confidence.

Dragon Prince is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Dragon Prince is not yet house-trained. He is still learning to trust humans and may be shy, but responds well to positive reinforcement like treats.
