Meet Trout!

This handsome 2-year-old, 54-pound pup is surprisingly chill for a dog who loves adventures! Trout was rescued from a euthanasia list and is now living his best life in foster care, enjoying hikes, walks, and plenty of couch time. He's a bit shy at first but warms up to become a loyal companion. Trout is kennel-trained, potty-trained, walks well on a leash, and knows how to sit. He gets along with other dogs but may be too interested in squirrels and cats. His one quirk? He's a master at spitting out medication, no matter how cleverly it's hidden! Trout dreams of a home that includes him in all their adventures, from camping trips to cozy evenings by the fire.

Ideal Home

Trout would love a home that includes him in life's adventures, like camping and fishing. We are not sure how he would do with a feline roommate due to his interest in cats on walks.

Ongoing Health

Trout is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and will be ready for his new home in mid-to-late July. He is fully vetted, neutered, and current on preventatives.

Training & Support

Trout is already kennel-trained, potty-trained, and walks well on a leash. He also knows how to sit. Be prepared for a challenge when it comes to giving him medication, as he's very good at spitting it out!
