Doug is a 65-pound bundle of joy, inspired by the lovable, golden-hearted goofball from the movie Up. Doug is recovering from surgery and is eager to spend every day showering his favorite people with affection, all 65 pounds of him! He is a professional greeter, part-time comedian, and full-time cuddle enthusiast. Doug approaches life with a wagging tail, a big grin, and an infectious enthusiasm. His adorably crossed eyes add to his charm, and while you might not be sure where he’s looking, you’ll know he’s searching for love, snacks, or both!

Ideal Home

Doug is incredibly social with people and wants to be everyone's best friend. He would thrive with someone who can give him structure while appreciating his goofy, oversized-puppy personality.

Training & Support

Doug is house-trained and crate-trained. He is still learning dog manners and his enthusiasm sometimes outpaces his skills, but it all comes from a place of pure joy. Doug's love language is cuddles, belly rubs, and gentle "cobbing" (which he's working on replacing with toys, and has achieved progress, not perfection!). He is food motivated and eager to learn.
