Kanela

Meet Kanela! She's a gorgeous, joyful girl with a big heart and an adventurous spirit. Kanela is medium-high energy and loves toys and chew bones. She is deeply bonded to her people and one of the most affectionate dogs in our care, with so much love to give.

Ideal Home

Kanela would thrive with an active human who enjoys running, hiking, or outdoor exploring. She needs a house with a yard; apartments or condos are not suitable. She is dog social but can be a confident alpha with other females, so she needs an experienced owner who understands her personality. Due to her sometimes unpredictable nature, Kanela is not suited for homes with small children.

Ongoing Health

Kanela is a distemper survivor, having been caught and treated early. She is otherwise healthy.

Training & Support

Kanela can be a confident alpha with other female dogs and may be unpredictable at times. An experienced owner who understands her personality is recommended.

Transporation

Kanela is located in Puerto Vallarta. Approved adopters are matched with flight companions (flight angels) traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home. During the summer months, it can be challenging to secure Canadian flight angels, so dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian flight angel is unavailable. Volunteers have successfully helped bring dogs to adopters at the border.
