Boone is a 2-year-old, neutered Chihuahua/Dachshund mix weighing approximately 18 pounds. He has a kind face and soulful eyes, making it impossible not to root for him. Boone was rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation where he had little human interaction. Despite his past, he remains incredibly gentle, sweet, and eager for love. He's making steady progress in learning that the world can be a safe place and will thrive with a patient family who understands that trust is earned through kindness, consistency, and time. Watching Boone come out of his shell is incredibly rewarding as he gains confidence with every new experience. He is learning to walk on a leash, does well in his crate, and is discovering the joys of being a dog. Boone is a quiet, thoughtful little guy who observes before jumping into new situations. Once comfortable, his sweet personality shines, and he doesn't need an exciting lifestyle to be happy. He simply wants a family to celebrate his small victories, appreciate his gentle nature, and give him time to blossom.
