Paula

Paula is a 5-year-old, 56 lb female Hound mix who is looking for her forever home! She was rescued as a stray and has been through a lot, but now she's ready to experience the joy of a loving family. Paula is a total cuddle bug who enjoys playing with toys, going for long walks, and soaking up the sun. She loves children and gets along well with other dogs, but she does chase cats, so a kitty-free home is a must. Paula is a very smart girl who would benefit from a family that can keep her mind and body active. She is affectionate and lively, and while she can sometimes be tempted by a scent trail, exercise and obedience training will help her stay focused. Paula had a tough life before her rescue, but she deserves a loving home where she can share all the love in her heart.

Ideal Home

Paula would thrive in a home with children and other dogs. She needs a kitty-free environment due to her tendency to chase cats. A family that can provide her with both mental and physical exercise would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Paula is up to date on all core vaccinations (DHPP, rabies), has been spayed, and is microchipped.

Training & Support

Paula is a smart dog who would benefit from continued exercise and obedience training, especially to help manage her hound instincts when following scents.

Transporation

Paula is currently located in South Texas and can be transported to Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Connecticut, Virginia, Maryland, and other East and West Coast states, with placement in her adoptive family’s home.
